trés bonne reserve de puissance, voire impréssionante manque de clarté (son un peu étouffé) en mose musique Appareillage bluetooth rapide mais non compatible volume absolu ( pas de controle de volume via smartphone) Réveil de la barre via bluetooth OK, mais la barre allume la TV (HDMI CEC) et bascule en mode TV, donc obligé de débrancher le HDMI pour pouvoir ecouter de la musique...

Bought this a few weeks ago, very easy to set up and use, one HDMI cable (not supplied) to the e-ARC port on the TV and it's ready to go. I mostly just leave it on the auto sound with the voice enhancer on and it sounds pretty good. Bass isn't as good as a separates system, but more than adequate for a small flat, also has a night mode so as to not annoy the neighbours. Surround effect is a bit hit and miss, sometimes you notice it and other times less so, but it supports all the major formats, Atmos and DTS-X. Only things it lacks is an on screen display (have to use the display on the soundbar but once its set you don't need to go in the menu much).

Assez déçue par le manque d' immersivisté... la télévision rend presque mieux sans la barre de son ! Notamment pour les dialogues qui sont difficilement compréhensibles. J'ai été conseillée en magasin donc je n'ai pas pris le temps de regarder les avis en ligne mais sinon je pense que je ne l'aurais pas achetée.

This was to replace a Panasonic home cinema set, of which the sub woofer had blown. I do miss the back speakers I had , however the sound from this sound bar is very rich, clear and powerful enough for our fairly large room. As a previous reviewer said, it takes longer to unpack than to set up. Looks really good and fits in well. My only negative comments would be that the mains leads could really do with being longer and the sub woofer is very big.

c'est une barre de son de qualité mais difficile à trouver un son dans mes attentes, je pense que cela est dû à ma télévision qui n'est pas récente, pas vieille non plus, mais qui ne permet pas d'optimiser le son proposé par la barre.

This is an excellent product and the quality of sound is impressive for a compact system. I have been a Sony enthusiast for many years and currently have, and have owned, many Sony electrical products (phones, TV's, camera, laptop, radios, stereo systems, cassette players etc). But I am very disappointed to find that neither this Sony HT-G700 soundbar, or my Sony Bravia Television KD-43XG8096, are fitted with stereo audio-only input ports. I now have a problem, because I also use a Sony PS-LX300USB turntable to play my personal collection of vinyl records. Although responsive and after several emails, the Sony support service has not offered any helpful suggestions.

Just bought a set of the sound bar system with Dolby Atmos, the sound quality is excellent, sound field is good, bass is more than enough in my opinion, need to mid and high are satisfying to me, overall it is a good option at this price point.

I recently bought a Sony Bravia 65 inch xj90 television that I’m really pleased with however I’m rather deaf and use two hearing aids and still required subtitles on certain programmes so following an email from Sony I decided to purchase a soundbar ht-g700 this has resulted in a massive improvement in sound quality no more subtitles very pleased with my soundbar.

Great sound and clear vocals

Had the soundbar and sub for a couple of weeks now. Set up was so easy through my Sony tv(HDMI arc port) optical is also connected but this only becomes available if you unplug HDMI. The subwoofer also connected immediately but over the first week it was quite temperamental and Sony have just updated the software and this has worked. The vocals are clearer than the HT-260 I had previously but still keeping the bass. Overall a vey good buy and happy to upgrade.

Easy to set up in fact it took longer to open the box and take the Soundbar and Sub Woofer out than it took to set up. Display panel on the small side. Menu a bit fiddly to use. Pleased with product so far but not had a chance to play about with the settings yet.

Pour ce qui est du manque de clarté, veuillez mettre l'appareil à jour, si ce n'est pas encore fait :

Ainsi, vous pouvez effectuer un redémarrage partial de l'appareil en débranchant tout pour une minute et la rebrancher après.
Concernant la compatibilité de l'appareil, nous ne garantissons le bon fonctionnement qu'avec des produits Sony.
Pour le contrôle de l'appareil via un smartphone, nous allons transmettre votre observation au département concerné pour qu'elle soit prise en compte dans nos futurs produits.
Au sujet de l'allumage de la barre de son connectée à la TV, vous pouvez simplement désactiver la commande HDMI, comme expliqué page 38 ci-dessous :

Overall very happy with this unit that replace an old 5.1 cinema system (Sony). Good sound when the wife isn't around. A bit disappointed with the speech enhancement feature, didn't seem to make much difference. Sometimes switch between signal sources I get no sound unless I switch the unit off and on again whereupon it seems to sort itself out.

Bon appareil. Belles finitions. Déçu par le rendu des voix, malgré tous les réglages disponibles. Avant cette Sony, j'avais une B... S... 5, qui rendait mieux en mode voix. Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de réglages type équaliseur sur smartphone.

I bought this product today, set it up and thought what have I done. The sound is distorted and every S is coming as a shh. I will be contacting John Lewis tomorrow to complain.

Thank you for your review and we're sorry to hear that you're facing a sound sync issue with your Sound Bar.
We'd like to highlight that,you can actually adjust the delay between the picture and sound if there is any lip sync by pressing Settings - (A/V Sync) Option, you can adjust from 0 msec to 120 msec in 40 msec increments.The default setting is [0ms]. Also, please be aware that this function is available only when the HDMI input is selected.
Moreover, a time gap between the sound and picture may occur depending on the sound source. If your TV has a function that delays the image, use it for adjustment.
You can also try testing your Sound Bar with different devices via different methods of connection to confirm if the issue occurs while connecting it wirelessly or with a wired cable.

I bought this about a month ago and would recommend it to anyone. Sound quality is excellent, the Dolby Atmos capability in a single bar is quite well implemented. Obviously doesn’t compare to a real multi-speaker surround but for a single compact setup it’s really worth the money, especially without needing a special ceiling in your room for other vertical sound systems that try to emulate this capability. One downside, for the price I would’ve expected WiFi integration to enable casting direct to the speaker rather than through my TV. Sound quality different on Bluetooth from phone, vs using an integrated music app (e.g. running Spotify directly on the speaker as in my previous Sony sound bar) is noticeable and so needing to have the TV on as well is a very minor irritant.

The sound is clear and crisp. I think matching it with SONY tv also helped. Subwoofer gives a lot of punch so if you like to annoy your neighbours this is the system for you. A lot of options for MOVIE, SOPRT, CONCERT etc. which actually work and make the difference. Remote feels a bit cheep but let’s face it, it’s not a top range product. It does what says on the tin and does it very well. Can you get better ones? Yes. But if you looking for sound bar under £500 this one definitely should be considered. I am very happy with it.

I bought this sound bar to replace my speaker from Bose and was nicely surprised to see that the subwoofer was included with it which I didn't noticed before! Voice can be hard to hear sometimes and in Voice mode sounds seems a bit flat on the background.

I bought this just before Christmas and am very impressed with the sound quality, a huge improvement on my previous soundbar which was good but dated. Dolby sound is amazing and Atmos is another level altogether. Would definitely recommend upgrading to Hdmi 2.1 to get the best from it.

I recently upgraded my TV and thought it was time to upgrade my sound bar, after setting my budget and doing a bit of research I decided on buying HT-G700, It's not the best at portraying the benefits of Dolby Atmos but it does a decent job. I would have liked a bit more projection on the centre speaker but realistically I haven't spent a fortune on the system. If I'd have got a much bigger budget I would have gone for a speaker with up firing speakers built-in but I can't complain.

Really pushes out a great sound

not happy with this product

I brought this sound Bar From John Lewis last March 2020 , and since that time never be able to use this sound bar , issues such as EARC does not work with LG 55 TV .

Could you ensure that your Soundbar is running on the latest software version by following this link: https://bit.ly/3G5sUrz?
You can also enable the eARC function by pressing on the Menu button, then select HDMI settings - eARC. We would also like to highlight that when eARC is set to On, the eARC setting of the connected TV should be adjusted as well. For details, refer to the operating instructions of the TV.

We'd also recommend connecting different devices to the soundbar to confirm the root cause of the issue.

Not bad for the price

Bought it about a fortnight ago not bad disappointed I could not add rear speakers to it otherwise good for a average room still trying to find best settings for it disappointed with the enhancement feature still not bad

Je recherchais un barre de son, de bonne qualité avec un un son parfait pour la voix ! J ai essayé deux autres barres de 150w et 200w mais le osn n était pas assez fort. Maintenant c est déjà mieux, dommage qu elle n est pas connecté en wifi et manque un peu de puissance sur le boumer, j aurai du prendre un modèle au dessus

Fantastic sound system

Always been dubious about sound at systems rather than all round speakers. No worries. This system fires sound from everywhere. Absolutely brilliant and it’s a SONY so it integrates with my SONY BRAVIA TV without any special set up. Bass from the subwoofer is punchy and strong.
